Julieann Tran graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta with a Bachelors degree in Journalism, concentration in Multimedia Reporting, and a minor in Entertainment Media Management. She started as a barista at a local coffee shop in Downtown Atlanta (Ebrik Coffee Room) and expanded her individuality with photography and capturing the lives of the People of Ebrik. The Instagram page and her experience lead to an article on the Creative Loafing platform.

Julieann contributed to The Signal, Georgia State's student-run newspaper, as a photographer where she had taken photos for news, sports and entertainment segments.

Following that, she interned with a local photographer, Meredith Howard, for The Streets Magazine by assisting the editor with photography, interviews, and layout of the magazine. She also worked with local organizations such as Center of Pan Asian Community Services, Vecinos de Buford Highway, Athena's Warehouse, Free Market Art Gallery, and other surrounding non-profits in Georgia. She currently holds a role as an employment developer with Opportunities For a Better Tomorrow in New York City!

Julieann continues her photography by capturing portraits, weddings, events, documentary and photojournalism.

"The camera captures my passion, but photography speaks more than just taking a photo. People and places with the desire to tell a story allows me to connect with others and what the world has to offer." - Julieann Tran
